David retired from the City of Evansville Water Department.
He served in the Army.
David enjoyed collecting coins and stamps.
He loved working in his garden and doing crafts.
David is survived by his companion, Wanda Huffman; stepdaughters, Murlene Pressley, Patricia Lois Weister, and Barbara Norris; stepson, Amos Leon Bruce; adopted son, Charles Bruce; sisters, Yvonne, Faye and Wanda; brothers, Foster and Perry; 15 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
Services will be 1:00 PM Monday, July 9, 2012, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Br. Tony Yates, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
