

Mr. Millen attended Reitz High School in Evansville and received a BA and law degree from Indiana University. He pursued a career as an attorney and served as Deputy Prosecutor in the Marion County Prosecutor's office in Indianapolis from 1976 to 1983. He served in the U.S. Army. An avid historian with a love of railroad history, Mr. Millen was a member of the Western Kentucky Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society in Madisonville, Kentucky. He was a lifelong member of Salem United Methodist Church in Evansville, serving as the church historian and on several church committees.
David was preceded in death by parents, James Harry Millen, Sr. and Mildred Elizabeth Shaver Millen; sister, Doris Evelyn Carter; and brother, James Harry Millen, Jr.
He is survived by nieces, Dianne Morman Straus and Terry Millen Walker; nephews, James Lawrence Millen, MD and Robert William Millen, Esq; and sister in-law, Dorothy M. Millen.
Family will receive friends Friday, May 13, at 10:30 AM for a viewing at Salem United Methodist Church, 6311 Kratzville Road, Evansville, followed by services at 1:30 PM and interment at Locust Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in David's name may be made to Salem United Methodist Church.
