

David retired from Whirlpool after 36 years and then went on to work at Auto Zone for 24 years. He loved tractors and lawnmowers, buying, selling and trading them. David enjoyed attending and participating in tractor shows in the tri-state area. He was a member of New Horizon Fellowship Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Lillie Pierce; brother, William Pierce; and sister, Evelyn Carmen.
David is survived by his wife of 63 years, Linda (Means) Pierce; daughters, Leacca Dillman and Cindy Pierce (Doug Simmons); grandchildren, Chris Dillman (Amie), Rob Duff (Jess), Amber Dillman, Ben Duff, Brittney Shell (Nathan), David Duff and Jake Duff; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, John Pierce (Margaret); sister, Margaret Mason (Al); brother, Raymond Pierce (Louise); and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 18, 2025 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, Evansville, IN officiated by Rev. Carl Mann and Pastor Steve Kueber followed by burial at Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
