Debra Sue Coomes Bone

November 27, 1948 ~ June 13, 2025

Debra Sue Bone (Coomes) passed away June 13,2025 in Elberfeld, IN.

She was born in Evansville and attended Central High School. After school she became a welder and worked for Arkla for 16 years. Debra married William Michael Bone in 1987 and moved to Elberfeld. They shared their love of animals and boating and began a small AKC Boxer breeding operation called Bones Boxers. Debra also attended Ivy Tech and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked at the Evansville Protestant Home and retired from there in 2002.

After retiring Debra enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, her animals and gardening. She also had a flare for interior design and loved decorating and remodeling her home.

Debra was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Coomes (Wright) and William Hoke Coomes; and her husband, Mike Bone passed in 2022.

She is survived by her first husband, Terry Korb; son, Kody Korb; daughter, Jamie McKay (Robert); four grandchildren, Wyatt Korb, Zachary McKay, Abbey Woolsey (Christopher), and Sophia McKay. She also has three great-grandchildren, Hunter, Hayden and Ryder Woolsey.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Debra at a later date.
