Derick was an avid musician who played the guitar and was a member of the local band, Colonel Sanders’ Grave. He was employed at PPG.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Wood.
Derick is survived by his wife of 10 years, whom he has been with for 16 years, Kristen Wood; brothers, Don Wood, Steven Wood; uncle, Walter Wood (Judy); mother-in-law, Karen Rooksberry (Michael); sister-in-law, Karinne Culley (Brian); nephew, Kyler Rooksberry; nieces, Lilah & Elise Culley; aunts; uncles; cousins; and dogs, Fenris, Reese and Lillith Marie.
Memorial services will be 5:00PM Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Alexander North Chapel. Friends may visit Saturday from 2:00PM until service time at the funeral home.
