Destanie attended Bosse High School where she was in Color Guard, Orchestra, and Theater. She attended SIC Tech for Culinary Arts and graduated from Washington Middle School where she was in Green Team, Orchestra, and Girl Scouts. Des loved music, being outdoors, four wheeling, swimming, and adventure. Family/friends painted with her, played games, and watched movies. She was a true friend to all who knew her. "A blue-eyed, barefoot, blue jean baby."
Destanie is survived by her husband, Blake Bastain; parents, Autumn and James Hite; brother, Damon Savedge; sisters, Hannah Jamison and Emma Kifer; nephew, Elijah Thornton; grandfather, David Williams; great nana, Betty Wakeland; aunts and uncle, Meagan Williams, Leigh Williams, David Williams II, Larrisa Postin, Shana Williams, Christy Phares, Savannah Morgan, Heidi Jones, and Tashia Davis; sisters-in-law, Cassie Worman, Brandy Worman; niece, Avianna Worman, nephews, Elijah Worman and Xavier Worman; God parents, John and Tammy Ruff; Theo her child (Cat), and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and family friends.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2023, at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, officiated by Pastor Mat Murphy and Pastor Bessie Adams. Friends may visit Friday from 1:00 pm until service time at the funeral home.
