Don was a member of the Downtown Optimist Club, Evansville in 1979.   He was President of our club in 1986 - 1987 and again in 2007 - 2008.    He also served several terms on our board of directors.

Don had a great sense of humor and wit.    He played a vital role in our club activities for many years.  His ideas and suggestions were always welcome.   

Our members are saddened by his loss.  He will be greatly missed.

I have fond memories of Mr. Julian during his involvement with Troop 59.  He was a funny man and his stories are still remembered by many former scouts.

I was in an exercise class with Martha for several years.  Don was so very devoted to her and tenderly cared for her while she was at the gym at St. Mary's.  He will be missed by his family and my prayers are with them.

Barbershop Harmony Society/SPEBSQSA--Don was a long-time "mover and shaker" who was a member and leader of THE EVANSVILLE SONGFELLOWS from the very beginning.  He sang in several excellent quartets over the years and was known, loved and respected nationally--a "role-model" for us all.  So sorry to read/hear that he is now silent.  We will thinking of him every time we sing.

Don was an amazing man and a hero of mine. I remember listening to him sing when I was a little boy. Don and the other Music Mart guys were very kind to me growing up and I am proud to call them all good friends in my adult years. God bless you Don, we miss you already.

Many memories flood my mind when I think of Don and his family.  Most of them revolve around singing barbershop and the fun family activities it brought to our families. Don was a great man and my standard of how baritone should be sung.  He would always let me sing the bari and he'd take the tenor when we wood-shedded. Big hugs and prayers to Martha, Bruce, Sandy and Lisa from the Sauls family.

We are so sorry and shocked to hear of Don's passing. Met him many years ago at Evansville College. Will miss seeing Don & Martha at the Carousel and our times at the Roca Bar. Our condolences and prayers to Martha and the family. We will certainly miss you, Don.

So sorry to hear about the loss of Don. Many great memories from my childhood of hearing Don sing and the memories of holidays with Don, Martha and the family.

Very sad to hear of the passing of Dan Julian.  Great man and I enjoyed our conversations.  Will miss him.

This is such a shock.  I knew Don from Reitz HS.  He was a year behind me but we were in many activities together.  He loved singing even then and was a member of a quartet who called themselves the "Four Roses."  I became re-acquainted with him about ten years ago through a mutual friend, Arnold Appel, who also was a barber shopper from Reitz.  We were internet friends and enjoyed reminiscing about our Reitz days. He always made a positive comment about each email I forwarded to him.  I will miss him.  Ginny Varner Jones, Leo, IN

Don was a dear friend and neighbor of mine.  I thought very highly of him and of his wife Martha.  He always honked, stopped, to say hello as he and Martha went to eat at the Merry Go Round Restaurant.  He always called my dog Cloe
