Doris Wiegand

Doris Wiegand, 86, of Evansville, IN passed away Friday, November 1, 2019 at Solarbron. Terrace. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN on December 12, 1932 to the late Chester and Laura Heller. She was Director of Nursery School at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church where she was a life member and very active. She was a graduate of Wittenberg University where she received her Masters in Education. Doris was preceded in death by her daughter, Laura B Wiegand-Brown; brother, Bobby Heller; Sister, Lois Clay. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Gerald Wiegand; son, Stanley J. Wiegand-Cenobio (Michelle Cenobio); grandchildren, Brandy and Noah; great grandchildren, Cameron, Raylen, Alyssa and Addalyn. Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Monday, November 4, 2019 at St Mark’s Lutheran Church officiated by Pastor Don Gray with burial to follow in Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery. A light lunch will follow the committal service at the cemetery. Friends may visit 11 a.m. until service time at the church.
