

She worked as a secretary at Ivy Tech Community College and was a long-time member of Bethany Apostolic Church. Dottie loved arts and crafts, and enjoyed music, painting and cooking. She was a wonderful caregiver and enjoyed caring for children and her many pets.
Dottie was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Gary M. Adcock (2007).
She is survived by her daughter, Tina M. Adcock; grandchildren, Kalmel D. Lewis (Tashay), Kamia T. Adcock, and Kayden D. Myles; great grandchildren, Ky’lae Z. Murray, K’drien Z. Williams, Ka’Neah N. Lewis, and Key’oir N. Lewis; brother, John Burns (Ruth); as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 7, 2025, at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville, IN officiated by Bishop G.W. Frazier, Sr., with entombment to follow in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends and family may visit from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 6, 2025, and from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 7, 2025, at the funeral home.
