Dorothy Marie "Dot" Dockery

Dorothy Marie “Dot” Dockery, 81, of Evansville, IN, passed away Monday, September 7, 2015, at Brentwood Golden Living Center in Evansville. She was born March 26, 1934, in Evansville, to the late Russell and Dorothy Briody. She was a member of Harwood Baptist Church. Dot enjoyed bowling, playing Bunco, painting and camping. She loved everyone, especially her grandbabies. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert L. Dockery, Sr.; brothers, Jack and Bob Briody; sisters, Thelma Williams and June Yunker; and sister-in-law, Norma Briody. She is survived by her son, Delbert Dockery, Jr. of Evansville; daughters, Linda McCann of Evansville and Jeanne Egan (Richard) of Wadesville; grandchildren, Jennifer Riggs, Megan Stinnet, Dustin and Tyler Egan; 7 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Mary Ann Albin, Kenneth Briody, Russell Briody and Judy Jourdan. Funeral services were held at 10:30 AM, Friday, September 11, 2015, at Alexander West Chapel officiated by Pastor Karl Crowe with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends visited Thursday, 4-8 PM, at the funeral home.
