Dorothy Jean (Mendenhall) Haines, 89, of Evansville, IN, formerly of Chatham, IL, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at North Park Nursing Center. She was born on October 3, 1932 in Springfield, IL to the late Errett and Maude (Copeland) Mendenhall.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Edward Haines; parents; and sisters, Mary Springer and Margaret Sutton.
She is survived by her daughter, Terri Hardin of Evansville; son, Michael Haines (Leanne) of Springfield, MO; granddaughter, Claire Haines; and step grandchildren, Nicholas Langley, Katelin Davis, Stacy Hardin and Emma Hardin.
A burial will take place at a later date in Illinois.
