Dorothy A. Lilly

Dorothy A. Lilly, 94, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2019. She was born March 8, 1925 in Evansville to the late Oscar and Luella (Streithof) Rosenblatt. She graduated from Central High School in 1943. She was a member of St. Lucas United Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday School, served on the church council and was past President of the Women’s Guild and Mary Martha Class. Dorothy was the secretary at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church for 33 years, and was past President of the PTA at Henry Reis, Evans Elementary and North High Schools. She was a Pink Lady at Deaconess Hospital and 50-year member of the Robert Morris Chapter #87 Order of Eastern Star. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, F. Riley Lilly; sister, Leah Mason, and brother, Oscar Rosenblatt. She is survived by children, Donna Lilly of Evansville and Don Lilly (Leisa); grandchildren, Rob (Amanda), Allison and Katie and great-grandchild, Mason Lilly, all of Hoover, Alabama and niece, Linda Neu (Stan). The family would like to thank the staff at River Pointe Health Center for their excellent care. A Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 4, 2019 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road, officiated by Rev. Lynn Martin with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, November 3, 2019 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the organ fund at St. Lucas Church.
