Dorothy B. Badger McKinney

Dorothy was born in Evansville, IN to Charles and Mary Badger; she met and married her childhood sweetheart (ex-husband) Glen McKinney, all of whom have preceded her home. Dorothy or "Dottie" as her loved ones called her is survived by her two sisters, Jody Townsend (Indianapolis, IN) and Brenda Badger Pirtle (Evansville, IN).

Dorothy was born on January 15, 1960, and was called home on March 13, 2017. She leaves behind her three daughters, Sharon McKinney, Karen McKinney, and Melissa McKinney; two step-daughters, Amanda (Brandon) Hawkins and Dixie McKinney, all from Evansville, IN. She was blessed with six grandchildren and three step-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom she adored unconditionally.

Dorothy passed away from a short, but hard battle with cancer. During her lifetime she worked at Carol’s Hairport, White Swan, QCD Packaging, TJMaxx Warehouse, and several other packaging warehouses. She attended Trinity Wesleyan Church and was an avid childcare giver for many years. Dorothy’s kind heart, generous hands, and strong spirit will forever be missed.

Memorial services will be held at Christ Temple Church, 1405 S. Weinbach, Evansville, IN 47714 from 12 pm until 1:30 pm for all family and friends.
