Doug was a machinist and tool and die maker. He had worked at Evana Tool & Die, Alcoa, and Babcock & Wilcox (BWXT). When he was younger, he coached youth baseball/softball and played in several local bands. Doug loved music and was a very talented musician and dancer. He played the bass guitar, piano, violin and ukulele. Doug made sure his family and especially the grandkids shared his love of ice cream during their many, many family get-togethers as family time was very important to him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Jane Tingley; brother, David Tingley (Debbie); and sister, Barbara Weaver.
Doug is survived by his wife of 55 years, Bonnie S. Tingley; son, Darrin Tingley (Mindy); daughters, Misty Hamby (Dan), Sarah J. Smith (Brian), and JoAnna Hendrickson (Wes); son, Jon Tingley (Ashley); 13 grandchildren; brother, Scott Tingley (Carol); and many nieces and nephews.
