

Edgar “Ed” Harold Baumgartner, 71, of Boonville, passed away Monday, July 10, 2017, at Cypress Grove Rehabilitation Center. He was born January 28, 1946, in Evansville, to the late Edgar J. and Virginia (Miller) Baumgartner.
He graduated from North High School and proudly served during Vietnam as a Sargent in the Marines. After 20 years of service, Ed retired from Fluid Tech as General Manger. He was a member of the American Legion in Newburgh, VFW in Boonville, and F.A.R.T.S (“Friends are Rare Treats”) paintball club, where he gained many lifelong friends. He attended Living Hope Church in Boonville. Ed was an avid hunter and traveled all over for the love of the sport.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Bonnie (Davis) Baumgartner; children, Heather Stevens and Brian (Ivory) Baumgartner; grandchildren, Ashley (Brett) Allega, Matthew Williams, Chelsey Sallee, Jacob Stevens, Hayley Baumgartner, Rylee Nichols, Kaidecy Nichols and Gracie Baumgartner; great-grandchildren, Piper Jean Allega and Ezekial James Allega; sister, Becky (Richard) Braukhoff; beloved dog, Buddy; and special family members, Bethany Cashin, Tabitha Beasley and Tracy Guinn.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Alexander West Chapel, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
