Elbert Mack Williams

Elbert “Mack” Williams, 69, of Evansville, IN passed away at his home on March 21, 2019. He was born on February 17, 1950 in Henderson, KY to John E. and Willie Mae Williams. Mack married Diane McGowan on June 30, 1979 at Vann Avenue Church in Evansville, IN. He retired at the age of 62 after working for 44 years in carpentry. Mack was an avid sports fan and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 10 brothers and sisters, and step-son, Brad McGowan. Mack is survived by his wife of 39 years, Diane Williams; daughters, Tiffany Moore and Erin Johnson (Patrick); step-daughter, Katrina McGowan; sister, Thelma Sinett; sister-in-law and caregiver, Linda Whitney; sisters-in-law, Rose, Sheila and Josie Williams; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Alexander East Chapel. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
