Elizabeth Bettie J Deckard Hahn

She graduated from Cairo High School in Cairo, IL. She met “Jack” while he was in Cairo playing baseball. They married and moved to Evansville in 1948.

Bettie was a long time member of St. Paul’s UCC and the Triangle Sunday School Class. She also belonged to the Beauty by the Yard Garden Club. Bettie loved the outdoors, flowers, gardening, and laughing with friends and family.

Bettie was preceded in death by her husband in 1997, Kenneth “Jack” Hahn.

She is survived by her sons, Stan and Debbie of Evansville, Kent and Colleen of Evansville, Chris and Joanna of Bloomington, IN; daughter, Traci and Tim Dyer of Lawrenceburg, IN; grandchildren, Ryan and Casey Hahn, Kenny Hahn, Katie Hahn, Rachel Hahn, Rebecca Hahn, Brandon Dyer, and Sean Dyer; great-grandchild, Lilly Elizabeth Hahn; sisters, Phyllis and Charlie Huey, Bobbie Jourdan; nieces and nephews and many, many, friends.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Lynn Marino. Friends may call Friday from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at Alexander North Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s UCC.
