Elvin “Lee” Adkison, 72, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loved ones after a long and well fought battle. He was born February 20, 1945, in Evansville.
He was a member of Fairlawn United Methodist Church and served in the United States Air Force as a medic. Throughout the years, he was a member of Abate, Rogers Rangers, and Pair-a-dice Cruisers. Lee retired from the City of Evansville, but continued working by using his talent as an artist and blacksmith.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Allean and Lee Adkison; and brothers, Ray McBride and Jim Adkison.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Donna; daughters, Danielle (Kent) Wilhite, Adrienne (Eric) Tanner, and Briana Adkison; grandsons, Declan, Luke, and Conor; brother, Doug (Pam) Adkson; and other family members, Sherry Adkison, Jeb Anfield, and Christian Daniel.
