Eula LaVern Eakins

Eula LaVern Eakins, 89, of Evansville, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017, at River Oaks Nursing Home in Princeton, Indiana. She was born May 30, 1927, in Madisonville, Kentucky, to the late Turner and Lottie Devine where she was one of five siblings.

Eula enjoyed going out to eat and shopping with her family. She had owned and operated a kennel and bred Pomeranians.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Eakins and daughter, Sandra (Renfro) Allen.

Eula is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Skelton (Don); sister, Grace Spriggs; grandchildren, Tommy Allen (Rachelle), Glenn Skelton (Angela), Rocky Allen, Noah Malin, Shannon Carroll (Tim), Penny Malin (Bob), and LaDonna Carter (Rodney); six great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 12:00 Noon Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at Alexander North Chapel, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Monday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
