During WWII she was a seamstress and manufactured airplanes in England. She was a member of the Cosmopolitan Club and VFW Auxiliary #1114. She was a grandmother to many friends and neighbors.
Eunice was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy Hodge; and son, Charles Stanley Hodge.
She is survived by her daughters, Carol Lewis of Tucson, AZ, Peggy (Jim) Eaker of Colorado, and Barbara (Tony) Todd of Evansville; son, Russell (Debra) Hodge of Springfield, TN; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Little of Mt. Vernon; nieces and nephews in England; and cousins.
Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, September 18, 2010, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Everett Freels and Rev. Martha Honaker, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Specialty Home Health, Vista Care Hospice, St. Mary’s Hospital, Dr. David Schultz and Dr. Karen Neely for the care they gave Eunice.
