Gary Lee Murphy

He was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 136 for 50 years. He was also a member of the Lions Club, and was the past president of the Van Bibber Lake Lions Club, as well as governor and past district governor, and was the chairman for the Governors Honorary Advisory committee during that time. He enjoyed skeet shooting, hunting, and fishing.

Gary is survived by his wife of 49 years, Martha; daughters, Kimberly (Derek) Izzi and Kelly (Brent) Koch; son, David (Jennifer) Murphy; grandchildren, Kristopher Izzi, Chelsea Lady, Nicole Izzi, Kadi Koch, Devin Koch, Savannah Murphy, Sean Koch, Luke Murphy, and Fallon Koch; great-grandchild, Izabelle Lady; sister, Marilyn Israel; brother, Don Murphy; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, December 18, 2014, at Alexander Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. Tom Hubachek, with burial to follow. Friends may visit Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at Alexander West Chapel and Thursday from 9:00 AM until service time at the cemetery.
