Gerald Goebel

He graduated from Reitz High School in 1960. After 50 years of combined service time with Vanderburgh County Co-Op, W.R. Grace, Gerald retired from Posey County Co-Op. He was a lifetime member of Salem United Church of Christ Darmstadt and was formerly active at Bible Center Cathedral where he enjoyed volunteering.

Gerald was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Wolf; brothers-in-law, David Richardville and Charles Wolf; and his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jan (Greenfield); children, Christina, Gerard, Dwayne (Stephanie), Mark and Margaret Sue; grandchildren, Brent, Gerard Jr., Leslie, Madeline, Mark Jr., Michael and Savannah; great-grandchildren, Brianna and Victor; brother, Jim (Linda); and sisters, Shirley (Gary) Hopple, Karen Richardville, Eileen (Benny) Hendrix and Darleen (Donnie) Cole.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Salem United Church of Christ Darmstadt, 14134 Darmstadt Rd., Evansville, IN 47725, officiated by Pastor David Peterson. Friends may visit Saturday from 1:00 PM until service time at the church.
