Ginger was truly an amazing person. She had a heart of gold, and her beautiful smile could light up an entire room. She was a big jokester and would do anything to make people laugh or try to scare them. She loved to talk and never met a stranger.
She was an avid gardener and was known for her huge, luscious gardens, flower beds and extravagant holiday displays. She loved being in her yard or outdoors in general, rather it be working in it or playing with the dogs and kids. She was also a huge animal lover. She was very crafty all through her life and she loved going for country drives, as well as going to any craft fair or flea market.
She also loved to read and loved collecting things like gnomes, snowmen, turtles, frogs, and hummingbirds. She also loved doing diamond paintings. She loved to bake and was known for her cooking and baking; especially at Christmas time with all of her different cookies. But the most important thing to her was her family and friends. She would do anything for anyone, full with love and compassion. She was a longtime associate at Walmart. She attended Southside Baptist church for many years. The world truly lost the best mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister, aunt, neighbor, and friend. Life definitely won’t be the same without her. But we can take comfort in knowing that she is free from her pain and is planting flowers in the gardens of Heaven.
She was proceeded in death by both her parents and her sisters Eva Barnes and Janice Stanley.
Ginger left behind many people who dearly loved her. This included her baby girl Lindsey Trafford and her other daughter Jaclyn; Her sisters Mona Berry, Dianna Blake, Peggy Hankins (Milton), and Dona Schubert (Ted) and her brother John Blake. Her grandkids Megan and Blake Trafford (Jackie Labhart), Seth Collins, Hayden Matthew and Ashlynn Jones, Zachary Junker, as well as her great-grandson Archer Trafford, and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her great-grandson Christopher and great-granddaughter Brynleigh. Also, her fur babies Eddie, Shelby, and Ivy. Her ex-husbands who were still her good friends, Todd Rakestraw and Jack Collins, as well as her stepdaughter Victoria Wolfe (Brandon) and their kids Owen and Olivia. Her Grand-dogs Nala and Heifer, and Grand-Bearded dragons Mr. and Mrs. Kippling.
