Grace L. Simmons

She was an avid wrestling fan who enjoyed both WWE and independent wrestling. Grace also enjoyed NASCAR, playing bingo and was the Karaoke Queen. She could light up a room with her magnetic personality and always made others feel happy when they were around her. Grace adored her great grandchildren and was an animal lover.

Grace was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 51 years, Hubert M. Simmons; son, Michael E. House; brother, Richard House; and sister, Edna Mae Smith.

She is survived by her children, Terry Sanders (Sandy), Hubert Simmons, Jr. (Tammy), Herbert Simmons, and Donald Simmons (Leigh Ann); 12 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Alexander North Chapel, with entombment to follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 29, 2024 at the funeral home.

The family would like to give a special thank you to her caregivers, Karen and Kathy, for their wonderful devotion and love.
