

Helen Christine Lewis, 92, of Westminster, CO, formerly of Evansville, passed to her eternal home Sunday, June 5, 2011, at Sunrise Assisted Living in Westminster. She was born on September 5, 1918, in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, where she lived until she married in 1938.
Helen lived most of her adult life in Evansville, IN on Wedeking Avenue, before moving to Colorado. She was married to Raymond Lewis for over 50 years. Together they operated Lewis Electric Service. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Evansville for over 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond and an infant son, David; brothers, Charles E. Newman, James R. Newman, and Earl C. Newman; and sisters, Susan Louise Morgan, Sarah Kathleen Jones, and Sylvia M. Peay.
Helen is survived by son, Donald C. Lewis and wife, Brenda Cobb Lewis; four grandchildren, Kelly Herncjar and husband, Pat of Centennial, CO; Matthew Lewis of San Francisco, CA; Elaine Vienneau and husband, Erik of Evergreen, CO; Nicole Hoffman and husband, Donnie of Westminster, CO; six great grandchildren, Kelsey and Ian Herncjar, Laila and Connor Vienneau, and Addison and Evelyn Hoffman; and two of her eight siblings, Mary E. Price and Dorothy T. Moore.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Alexander North Chapel, and officiated by Pastor Joe Easley with entombment in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends and family may visit Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM and on Saturday from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
