Helen Gladys Robb

Helen Gladys (Robinson) Robb, 102, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Rathbone Retirement Community. She was born May 1, 1912 in Princeton, IN to the late William A. and Maude (Covington) Robinson.

She married her husband, Thomas J. Robb, Jr. on September 7, 1931 and they shared 68 years together before his death in April of 1999. They both worked at Republic during WWII. Helen retired from The Baby Shop in Washington Square Mall in 1971. She was the caregiver of her son, Gilbert W. Robb, who was a Korean War Veteran, until his death in December of 2004.

Helen is survived by her sister and caregiver, Nancy (Willard)King; sister, Linda Kell; granddaughters, Leesa (William) Parker of Mocksville, NC; Terri (Thomas) Kitchene of NC; Rita (Jim) Edmonds of St. Jacob, IL; five great-grandchildren; four great, great-grandchildren; and nieces, Carla Johnson of Marysville, CA; Debbie (Bill) Rogers of Oakland City, IN; and Melania (Mike) Barkhurst of Ground Mounds, IA.

Graveside services will be 1:00 PM CST Friday, May 9, 2014, at Columbia Church Cemetery in Princeton, IN, officiated by Pastor Tom Hubachek.
