

Helen C. (Ficker) Wuerth, 86, of Evansville, IN, passed away December 14, 2017, at her home. She was born on September 23, 1931, in Evansville, IN, to the late Joseph Ficker and Barbara (Waninger) Ficker.
Helen worked as a bookkeeper at the Evansville Store, DeJongs, and Hill’s Department Store. She was a founding member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, a scout leader, and a member of the PTA. Helen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, James Wuerth; daughters, Cathy (Ron) McConnell, Lisa (Scott) VanMeter, Karen (Glenn) Fischer; sons, Tom Wuerth, Scott (Amanda) Wuerth; grandchildren, Chris (Christina) Clodfelter, Jarrod McConnell, Cameron Wuerth, Lauren (Cory) Kissel, Tyler VanMeter, Emily (Jason) Hancock, John and Adam Fischer, Tyler Stotlar, Grant and Eli Wuerth; great-grandchildren, Claire Clodfelter, Caroline and Hudson Hancock; nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM Friday, December 22, 2017, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, officiated by, Father Alex Zenthoefer, with burial at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit from 3 to 7 PM, at Alexander East Chapel, Evansville, IN, Thursday, December 21, 2017. The family would like to thank Tina Bradley, Heritage Hospice, Dr. Michael Titzer, OHA and Chemo Buddies for their wonderful support and loving care.
