He was a retired disabled veteran who served in the Air Force for 20 years. Herman retired from the United States Postal Service in 1997.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Hotz, Sr. and his mother, Mary Schaefer.
Herman is survived by his wife, Shirley (Lacey) Hotz; daughter, Allison McClure (Marty); son, Glenn Hotz (Lisa); grandchildren, Christopher, Brittany and Zachary; great grandson, Damien; half sister, Phyllis Hatfield; and half brother, Glenn N. Hotz.
Services will be Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Matthew Willis with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit from 2:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at the funeral home.
