Howard C. Hoffman, 87, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2020, at the Heritage Center. He was born on April 4, 1933, in Evansville, IN, to the late William and Emma (Cherry) Hoffman.
Howard enjoyed traveling and gardening. He was a huge fan of IU basketball. Howard was a member of the Evansville Athletic club for over 25 years. He was an Army veteran, serving in the Korean War. Howard was a life member of the VFW Post #1114. He was a member of Good Shepherd Parish and formerly a member of St. Theresa Parish.
Howard is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Hoffman; children, Rhonda McCall (Dave) and Joseph Hoffman (Crystal); grandchildren, Kevin McCall (Claudia), Chris McCall, Ben Hoffman (Sarah); Katie Peets (Jonathan) and Will Hoffman (Alexandra); great grandchildren, Eliza Hoffman and Wyatt Hoffman.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Fr. Tom Kessler, with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit on Tuesday from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Catholic Parish or St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Condolences may be offered at www.AlexanderNorthChapel.com.
