She was a member of VFW Auxiliary #1114, the Evansville Water Ski Club and Outboard Boating Club. She enjoyed dancing, boating, fishing, camping, Bingo, seek-and-find books, jigsaw puzzles and crafts. She loved her dog, Daisy Jo.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband of over 48 years, George H. Krack, in July 1991.
She is survived by her sons, George W. (Bonnie) Krack and Larry R. (Suzi) Krack; daughter, Marlene R. Krack, all of Evansville; grandchildren, Jason W. (Kristi) Krack, Keith Nelligan and Kerri (Eric) Postletheweight; great-grandchildren, Kendall R. Krack, Trevor W. Krack, Logan W. Postletheweight and Megan T. Postletheweight; brother, Richard (Wanda) Englert; sister-in-law, Mary Bickel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, September 1, 2011, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Fr. Zach Etienne, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
