Nécrologie de Jack A. Huff
Jack A. Huff, 81, of Evansville, transitioned from Earth to Heaven for eternity on Sunday, September 6, 2020. He died peacefully with much of his family gathered around his bed praying. He was born August 3, 1939 in Rumsey, KY to the late Curtis and Bessie (Holmes) Huff. Jack lived a life of Christian integrity and character and exemplified the Beatitudes of the Holy Scriptures. He loved his wife, family, God and the church. He was a faithful member of The Church of God for more than 60 years, and a founding member of The New Horizon Fellowship Church of God in Evansville, where he served as church treasurer, council member and actively worked in men's ministry. He and his wife, Shirley, were committed to Church of God World Missions, especially Guyana, South America and The Ministry to Israel. Jack enjoyed gardening and blessed countless others with his green beans, tomatoes, and blackberries. When he wasn't gardening, he enjoyed watching IU basketball and football while cracking pecans. He lived a “salt of the earth” life. He was preceded in death by siblings, Eugenia Blackwood, Audry Marcrum and Roger Huff. Jack is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley (Cole) Huff; children, Shyrel O’Neal (Sean), Kathy “Kate” Kueber (Steve) and William “Will” Huff (Bev); grandchildren, Sean-Michael (Fiona), Blaine, Adreanna, Lauren, Rebecca, Stephanie, Benjamin (Jennifer), Jaime, Austin, Brad and Colton; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Carmela, Olivia and Hayden and siblings, Versal Osmon, James Huff and Bob Huff. A Home Going Celebration will be 12:00 p.m., Saturday, September 12, 2020 at New Horizon Fellowship Church of God, 1518 Washington Ave., officiated by Rev. Carl Mann II, Rev. Sean S. O’Neal and Rev. Steve Kueber, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Face masks are required. The service will be live streamed at www.newhorizonfellowship.com and also on New Horizon Fellowship’s Facebook page. Condolences may be made online at www.AlexanderEastChapel.com.
