Jacob Wayne Nelson

He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and graduated from Holy Rosary Grade School. He attended Memorial and Harrison High Schools and planned to attend Ivy Tech this fall. Jacob, also known as “Chalk” to his baseball friends, played at Evansville East Youth Baseball League for ten years. He was a great sibling who loved and nurtured his brothers and sisters and was always there for them.

Jacob was known for his charisma and smile that would light up a room. For anyone who ever had the pleasure of crossing paths with Jacob knows about his special gift of touching your heart and making you laugh. He was always upbeat, positive and energetic.

Jacob is survived by his mother, Tiffany (Chris) McCool; father, Brian Nelson; siblings, Max, Isabel, Finn, Quinn and Maggie McCool and Gavin Nelson; grandparents, Carolyn and Wayne Nelson and Kathy and Pete Sabella and Michael Minton Sr.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, officiated by Father Bernie Etienne. Friends may visit Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at Alexander East Chapel and Tuesday from 9:00 AM until service time at the church.
