

James "Jim" R. Kaho, 88, of Newburgh, IN passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Baptist Floyd Hospital in New Albany, IN. He was born on June 16, 1937, in Evansville to the late James B. and Margaret (Turpen) Kaho.
He graduated from Bosse High School, class of 1955. James was a member of the IBEW Local Union #16. He spent many years of his career at Swanson Nunn Electric Company and retired from Industrial Contractors. His family was important to him, and always came first. James was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, Terrace Parke General Baptist Church, and more recently, he attended Crossroads Christian Church. He loved watching Nascar and listening to music.
James was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elliott Kaho and grandson, William McQueary.
He is survived by his daughter, Myra McQueary (Jeff); son, Scott Kaho (Angie); daughter, Kristi Campbell (Rick); grandchildren, Casey Hodskins (Ryan), Brianna Crawford (Beau), Todd Kaho (Jessica), Tancey Belken (Daniel), and T.J. Cullum (Katie); great-grandchildren, Wyatt Hodskins, Rhett Hodskins, Iam Koverman, Ramy McQueary, Javaeh Taylor, and Cash Crawford; and aunt, Mary (Kaho) Huber.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 15, 2025 at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville, IN 47714. Friends and family may visit from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 14, 2025 and from 10:00 a.m. to service time on Monday at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Park Lawn Cemetery.
