James “Bo” Lee Norton, 85, of Evansville, went to be with his friend, the Lord Jesus Christ, on Sunday, November 13, 2022. He was born on September 26, 1937 in Evansville to James and Helen (McBride) Norton.
He graduated from Central High School in 1955. Jim worked as an illustrator at several manufacturing companies, including General Electric and Bucyrus-Erie. He was an artist, photographer, and a car and motorcycle enthusiast.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jeanmarie Head; and sons, James Norton II and Jon Norton.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Gail (Lay) Norton; son, David Bosecker (Barbara); daughters, Dee Shackelford (Jim) and Beth Carne (Doug); daughter-in-law, Leissa Norton; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a brother and sister.
The family would like to thank Heart to Heart Hospice for their care and kindness.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
