He was born on June 12, 1953, to the late James and Patricia (Tilford) Wolf.
Jim very proudly served 37 years as a firefighter for the Evansville Fire Department. Each member of the department, past or present, he considered his own brother. He shared his love and dedication to his career wherever he went. He prided himself in sharing stories and was especially proud to have had the honor of aiding in the historic UE plane crash and the Drury Inn fires in Evansville. He spent his spare time outdoors. His hobbies included fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Jim is survived by his daughter, Courtney Almon (Ryan); grandchildren, Annistyn Terese Almon and Jameson Roy Almon; sister, Jennifer Wolf; niece and nephew; aunt, Leola Tilford; great aunts and uncles’ and several brother and sister in laws; and many friends whom he considered family.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Teresa (James) Wolf; and his parents.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Evansville Fire Department 357 Honor Guard.
Funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Alexander West Chapel, with the Evansville Fire Department 357 Honor Guard and also officiated by Chaplain, John Lefler. Friends may visit Thursday from 3:30-6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 20, 2022 at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery.
