Janet worked at Save-A-Lot for ten years as Produce Manager. She was a member of First Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Donald Black, Sr. and son, John Black.
Janet is survived by her son, Donald Black, Jr. (Rachel) of Hammondsville, OH; daughters, Debra Ruark (James) of Henderson, KY and Christina Wilke (Dustin) of Boonville, IN; grandchildren, Matthew Ruark, Scott Ruark, Abrya Pullom, Orenthian Pullom, Tivon Meriweather, Joshua Black, Jonathan Black, and Elizabeth Black; great grandchildren, McKenzie Ruark, Grace Ruark, Isaiah Meriweather, and Royal Emery; and sister, Kathy Hunter (Chuck) of AK.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Monday, May 16, 2016, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Pastor Chuck Elliott, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
