

Jean Day Greenberg, 85, of Evansville, IN passed away on March 13, 2025 in Los Angeles, CA and is now with her Lord Jesus Christ and reunited with her husband, Louis Thomas Greenberg. She was born on August 16, 1938 to Sam Day and Mary Bell Day and was the sister of Doris Herbert, Benny Day, Jane Bruner and Susie Morris.
Jean graduated from Reitz High School in 1956 and married Tom on August 15, 1959. She helped support her husband as he pursued his medical career. They lived in California for his residency and returned to Evansville in 1966 to set up a family practice when they abruptly had to move their young family to Tyndall Airforce Base in Panama City, FL after he was drafted into the Air Force. Upon completion of the service, they moved to Atlanta , GA and then went on to Indianapolis, Indiana where Jean was able to raise her four children becoming a homemaker extroidinare while her husband was a neuroradiologist with Northwest Radiology.
Jean was a member of the Starlight Theatre in Indianapolis for many years. She always loved movies and musicals and with this passion, she became a member in helping to organize shows along with working on the charitable side of raising money for children. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and The National Society of the Washington Family Descendents. She spent much time exploring her lineage as she was a direct descendant of George Washington. Perhaps one of her highest achievements was becoming a Life Master in bridge. She loved to travel the world, but her favorite place was always home in Indiana.
She was a devoted wife and a devoted mother. She is survived by her four children, Cindy McDonough, Kris Hutchinson, Scott Greenberg and Marti Mozzali. She has six beautiful grandchildren that mean the world to her, John McDonough, Blake Greenberg, Brynn McDonough, Viola Hutchinson, Thomas Roncetti and Noah Roncetti.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Alexander Memorial Park Heritage Chapel, 2200 Mesker Park Drive, Evansville, IN 47720 with Pastor Jeff Long officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from Noon until service time at the mausoleum chapel.
