

Jerry Ray Taylor, 87, of Evansville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 8, 2024 after a battle with cancer. He was born on July 15, 1936 in Evansville to Vernal Ray Taylor and Mildred Loraine Myers.
He attended Western Kentucky and then went to work as a pipefitter in Denver before retiring from Evansville Sheet Metal Works (Local 20) after 43 years. He pursued his calling in ministry through his love of music by founding The Revelators, The Taylor Family, and Trinity III.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Barbara Hubbert; second wife, Linda Taylor; and third wife, Sophia “Sue” Davis-Taylor.
He is survived by his children, Shona Flick, Kelley (Scott) Haire, Allison Robinson, Susan Watterson (Jim), Michael Bolby, and Steve Bolby (Cita); grandchildren, Jerry Parmenter, Billy Parmenter, and Randy Haire (Amanda); great-granddaughter, Olivia Schoonover (Brady Porter); four step-grandchildren, Amy, Bryan, Stephanie, and Christopher; eight step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 12, 2024 at Alexander East Chapel with Rev. Randy Owens officiating. Entombment will follow at Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
