Jerry A. Wichser

Jerry retired from Amax Coal and also worked for the Evansville Courier and Press, Channel 14, Mead Johnson, and IVY Tech.

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Antique Auto Club.

Jerry enjoyed photography, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughter, Ann Welte (Dave); sons, Scot Wichser (Rosann), Mark Wichser (Karen); sister, Pat Cavins (Don); grandchildren, Bryan Welte, Stephanie Wargel, Josh Wichser, Sara Brown, Heather Byers, Heidi Blackburn, Mark Wichser; 14 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ruth Coulter; brother-in-law, Donald Umbach; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM December 31, 2010 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1925 Volkman Road, Evansville, IN with burial in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Kirk Horstmeyer. Friends may visit Thursday from 2:00 until 8:00 PM at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Rd, Evansville, IN and Friday from 9:00 until service time at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
