She attended Purdue University where she met her husband, Richard C. Eifler. She was a member of Eastern Star, Evansville Garden Club, Central Turners and Methodist Temple. She loved her grandchildren, flowers, animals and being a 45 year member of her local Bridge club. She was an avid bowler and member of WIBC.
JoAnn was preceded in death by two sisters; three brothers, son, John Harmon Eifler; and grandson, Kurt Baron Wessel.
She is survived by her husband, Richard C. Eifler; daughters, Diana Wessel, Candi Burress (Michael); son, Dirk Eifler; and grandchildren, Jacob, Dain and Molly Burress and Mark and Carl Wessel.
A Remembrance will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 PM Saturday, August 27, 2011, at Preservation Hall, 200 State Street, Newburgh.
