

He worked in the shipyard during WWII, worked in maintenance for Ohio Valley Container, and was a youth baseball coach. He enjoyed fishing and yard sales.
John was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Haley; second wife, Vada Haley; and daughter, Karen Buttles.
He is survived by daughter, Lillian Fletcher of Tempe, AZ; sons, John Haley (Janet) of Lynnville, IN and Michael Haley (Ronda) of Evansville; grandchildren, Kathy Lofton, Kelly Fletcher, Kevin Fletcher, all of Tempe, AZ, Kristie Fletcher of California, Tommy Wright of Evansville, Debbie Smith of Cincinnati, OH, Susan McCamish of Evansville, Dayd Haley of Lynnville, IN, Zach Haley of Avon, IN, Jeremy Haley of Yulee, FL and Amy Slagle of Evansville; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Marcus Haley; half-sister, Hazel Cannon; and step-daughter, Cindy Snider, all of Evansville.
Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, March 17, 2011, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Honna Schloss with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
