

John was a 1945 graduate of Bosse High School. He was an active member of Centenary United Methodist Church since 1945. John was married there, his children were baptized there, and he served on the building committee and church board. John retired from Whirlpool refrigeration product engineering in 1988 after 33 years and was an active member of Scott Civic Club, serving as President and coaching baseball, receiving coach of the year in 1964. He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing cards with his special friends.
John was preceded in death by his brother, William Keller.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ruth (Heldt) Keller; sons, David (Patty) Keller of Sneads Ferry, NC and Dr. Brad (Jane) Keller of Vincennes; grandchildren, Traci (Wade) Amelung of Powell, OH, Ryan (Crissy) Bash of Chillicothe, OH, Russ (Valerie) Keller of Dublin, OH, Major Brett (Kari) Keller of Kailua, HI, Captain John (Kimmy) Keller of Charlotte, NC, Tad (Kelli) Keller of Marietta, GA, and Elizabeth Keller of Vincennes; 11 special great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Etna Keller and Nadine Meyerholtz; nephews, Bob Meyerholtz, Steve Meyerholtz, Bill Kinney and Dan Keller, and nieces, Becky Wade and Brenda Keller.
Funeral Service will be 10:30AM, Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Centenary United Methodist Church, 14340 Old State Road, officiated by Pastor Daniel Walker, with burial in Centenary cemetery. Friends may visit 3:00 to 7:00PM, Friday, October 14, 2016 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road and Saturday from 9:30AM to service time at the church.
