John Gilbert Maxfield Sr, 93 of Evansville, IN passed away on April 5, 2019. He was born in Mt. Carmel, IL to the late John and Lena (Bender) Maxfield.

John retired from Continental EMSCO after 30 years. He was an avid reader, wood working, gardening and family oriented.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years Anna Maxfield; son, John Maxfield Jr.

John is survived by his daughter, Bobbi Brown, Michelle Craig (Jason) and two great- granddaughters, Ella and Emmalynn.

A Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2019 at Alexander West Chapel officiated by Reverend Terry Gamblin. Friends may visit 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
