He retired from Hoosier Stamping. He enjoyed fishing, animals, building radios and working on electronics.
John is survived by his wife of 41 years, Jane Rice; daughter, Rebecca Young (Christopher) of Princeton; son, John Aaron Rice (Amanda) of Newburgh, and grandchildren, Emily Rice, Cooper Rice, Taryn Preske and Addison Preske.
A Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 8, 2019 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road, officiated by Alan Shelby. Friends may visit Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
