John Edward Robertson, 93, of Evansville died April 28, 2021 at Linda E. White Hospice House.
He graduated from Central High School and the University of Evansville where he received his BA in Music Education. He was a member of Phi Zeta Fraternity and the college choir. He was employed at Bucyrus Erie Co. in Evansville and Erie, PA for thirty three years retiring as Supervisor of the Parts Catalog Department.
He directed church and social choirs for forty years. For eleven and a half years he was the Business Administrator at Central United Methodist Church. He was a member of that church and the 4Cers Class. He formerly directed the choir, played in the carillon, was past president of the US class, and a member of the Church Council.
He was a member and past president of the Deaconess Hospital Auxiliary, and directed the hospital choir for several years. He was a tour guide for Lifestyle Tours for six years, and ushered at the Vanderburgh Auditorium and New Harmony Theatre.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Mary Lou (Wolfe), and his parents Kenneth and Lois (Rogers) Robertson.
John is survived by his daughters Roxanne Bean (William) and Danette Mullins (Terry); granddaughters Nicole and Leanne; and great grandchildren Colton and Oaklynn.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Alexander Memorial Heritage Chapel Mausoleum officiated by Nancy Reid.
