She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church for several years. Joy worked at Western Ribeye for 15 years as a server. She loved to do needle point and other crafts.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Melody Lynn Thomas.
Joy is survived by her husband, Doug; daughter, Kristina Mae Crockett; grandson, Benjamin Alan Taylor-Wilson; brother, Mark Edward Thomas; niece, Beth Ann Montgomery; and, nephews, Thomas Montgomery and Justin Thomas.
A memorial service will be held 12:00 PM Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Alexander North Chapel with Rev. Tom Hubachek officiating. Friends may visit Thursday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
