She was a homemaker and a member of the Homemaker’s Extension Club. She was also a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and Evansville Kennel Club. She enjoyed knitting, ceramics, painting, and crafts.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Hewitt, in 1990; grandson, Richard Brent Hewitt, in 2002; three brothers; and four sisters.
She is survived by her son, Rick (Bettye) Hewitt; granddaughter, Jana (Nate) Hewitt Shepherd; great-grandchildren, Alexus and Becker; sister, Ruth Baker; nieces and nephews.
Private Funeral Services will be held.
