

She was a member of Forest Hills Wesleyan Church in Evansville her entire life, serving in many capacities, including secretary for the church Board, playing violin in the orchestra, and as parish nurse. She was also an active member of the Western Terrace Neighborhood Association.
She attended Reitz High School and the University of Evansville, where she received her B.S. in Nursing at age 51. She then worked as a Registered Nurse and Director of Nursing for several long term care facilities in Evansville and Newburgh before working as a visiting nurse for Visiting Nurse Plus. She retired from VNP at the age of 79. Her joys centered on her family and her dog Roxie. She also enjoyed golf, knitting, and quilting.
Juanita is preceded in death by her sister Carol Nance.
She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Phipps and Cathy (Steven) Oschman, as well as four grandsons, Matthew (Alexandra) Oschman, Kyle (Cari) Oschman, Nicholas (Sadee) Oschman, and Kevin (Bailey) Oschman, and one great granddaughter, Katelyn Oschman. She is also survived by her brother David (Bonnie) Groben, niece Shelley Nance, and nephews, Brad Nance and Glen (Missy) Groben.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Alexander West Chapel with Pastor Mike Stoelting officiating and entombment following in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Friday 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Saturday 9:30 AM until service time at the funeral home.
