Karen Sue Burks

She was born on December 11, 1962 to William Moog and Antoinette Huntison. Karen was a loving and caring woman, and a great mother.

Karen loved to color and needle point in her free time. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. When the weather was nice she would enjoy being outside in her garden. She also enjoyed cooking and baking. She loved to travel and go for walks mostly on the Riverfront in Mt Vernon.

She is survived by her ex husband, Douglas Burks; two daughters, Lisa Burks and Erica Burks; fiance, Adam McGee; Erica's four sons, Xander Snelling, Mason Poole, Payton Poole, and Allen Poole; her sons, Travis Peterson and Douglas Burks Jr. (Kristina Burks) and their daughters, Mia and Nora Burks; sisters, Cindy Davis and brothers Jerry Moog, Timmy Moog, and Billy Moog.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2026 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois St. Evansville, IN. Friends and family may visit from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
