Katherine Pearl Geier

Katherine Pearl Geier, 86, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at St. Vincent Hospital. She was surrounded by her daughters as she went home to be with her Lord and Savior. Katherine was born on May 24, 1935, in Gallatin County, Illinois, to the late James Edgar and Evelyn Woods. Katherine loved God and taught Sunday school for over 30 years. She was a prayer warrior and loved to pray for her three grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Steve) Simmons and Karen (Kevin) Shelley; grandchildren, Katherine (Matthew) Tuttle, Anthony Shelley, and Joshua Simmons. Katherine's family extends a thank you to the staff at 6E and 6W at St. Vincent and the staff of Heritage Hospice. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Pastor Doug Horner and Pastor Tyrone Edwards, followed by a burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
